100 Year Stainless: Centenary Knives

Stuart Mitchell is a quality custom knife maker based in Portland Works, Sheffield. Stuart can create custom knives to any size, shape or specification.

He was commissioned to design and craft a limited run of stainless steel centennial knives. Sticking to the history of Portland Works he wanted to create a kitchen knife. Stuart came to Charles Day (Steels) to get his knife blanks laser cut, after which he crafted them into works of art.

100 Year Centenary Knives

Stuart used Outokumpu grade SF100 (a Sheffield stainless steel grade normally used by Gillette and Wilkinson Sword in their razor blades).

It’s not a grade of steel we cut often but the results were great.
