Rectangular
Laser Cutting Tolerances - Charles Day Steels

For rectangular waterjet cut materials, where length L is defined as the greater of the two dimensions, tolerances on length and width are as detailed in Table 1.

Non-rectangular
Laser Cutting Tolerances - Charles Day Steels

For non-rectangular waterjet cut materials, due to the challenge of defining length and width for unique shapes, tolerances will follow those in Table 1, with length L considered as the maximum dimension of the part.

Circles and Rings

For waterjet cut circles and rings, length L is considered as the outside diameter of the part, with tolerances as outlined in Table 1.
